The Trossachs Big Band
One of the many positive outcomes of our previous festivals was the introduction to each other of a number of musicians who were ardent big band enthusiasts and this resulted in the formation of The Trossachs Big Band early in 2008.
Currently performing as a 16 piece big band playing Basie, Ellington, Miller arrangements plus many of the big band numbers made famous by Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darren and some of our own compositions as well.
Formed to play at events around central Scotland, the Trossachs Big Band has appeared at the Jazz on the Lochs Festival, The Edinburgh Fringe, The Callander Jazz and Blues Festival as well as Big Band events round Scotland.
The band is available for parties, dances and weddings and is always delighted to hear from musicians in the Trossachs area who might be interested in joining the band.
