FIVE YEARS OF JAZZ UP THE TROSSACHS
Over 50 live performances staged in some 24 venues centred in Callander and surrounding areas.
The organisation of this our fifth annual Callander Jazz and Blues Festival is well underway thanks to this years principal funders Event Scotland,The Scottish Arts Council, Stirling Council and our local enterprise company STEP.
In addition our thanks also goes to the first of this years sponsors Bellhaven Brewers for their involvement and support. We have a brand new festival website for this years event www.callanderjazz.com and the site is currently being updated and improved on a regular basis and we are sure you will all benefit from this major update.
This years festival event will be one of our most ambitious yet and the final performers list is almost at the stage where we can commit to printing the 2010 festival programme and there is a superb line up for you as always. The 2010 festival programme will shortly be featured on the website and will highlight Performers, Venues plus Dates and Times.

Festival favourites for 2010 once again include Jazz Cruising on Loch Katrine aboard the vintage steamship SS Sir Walter Scott Open Mic and Jam Sessions for both Jazz and Blues vocalists or instrumentalists.and the Sunday mornig street Jazz Parade to which you are all invited to take part all you need is a highly decorated umbrella.
To those of you who prefer to have a more traditional Sunday morning you are invited to attend our inter- denominational Jazz Church Service here in Callander Kirk where you will be made most welcome.

Ticket prices for this years event have been held at the 2009 value and are costed as follows:-
Weekend Rover Ticket £35
Friday Rover Ticket £12
Saturday Rover Ticket £20
Sunday Rover Ticket £18 otherwise £5pp on the door at each live performance.
This is now a major rural event here in the Trossachs Region and accomodation / bed space is at a premium nearer the festival dates of 1/2/3/ October so please try and book asap. Our festival website will provide you with a substantial amount of accomodation data or you can simply telephone this helpline number 01877-330329 and we will assist you in your search for a suitable B&B or Hotel location.
The musicians taking part in this years festival event have been carefully selected so that visitors to the event can enjoy more or less every style of live Jazz and Blues Music with just a touch of Soul. Some of this years performers are making their debut others have been invited back by popular demand they all have a single aim and that is to provide you with a feast of live musical entertainment.
From solo artists to 21 piece big bands and everything in between with over three hundred musicians that will ensure a long weekend of great music here in the autumn spleandour of the Trossachs.
